Works collaboratively with the Patient Placement Center to assess, plan, facilitate, track, and monitor the patient through the system. A nurse navigator facilitates access to medical care for patients. Assists the patient and family navigate through possible barriers to care ensuring patients obtain medical access and referral resources in an efficient and expedited manner. Responsible for coordination of patient flow within the hospital including; inter-facility transfers, inpatient admissions, and intra-facility transfers, assessing and assigning all scheduled and unscheduled admission requests to appropriate bed. Navigate transfer requests by working with physicians, clinical supervisors' within the hospital, and outside agencies.

• Education/Experience:
• Graduation from and accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of clinical nursing experience, two (2) years of which were in critical care or emergency nursing, case management or utilization review.
• Licensing/Certification Requirements:
• Valid License by State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
